Is it possible to rent a car/bicycle on site?
If you are traveling without a car and would still like to explore our beautiful island independently of public transport, our team at reception will be happy to put you in touch with a car rental company. We are also happy to help you with bicycle rental. Simply get in touch with us at reception and we will organize your bike from Deutschmann bike rental. Please let us know in the morning for the selected day.

Is there parking available for cars?
Our hotel has its own underground parking garage. Parking in the garage and on the hotel forecourt is subject to a charge of € 21 per day and vehicle. For safety reasons, the marked fire department access routes must be kept clear at all times.

Where can I charge my electric car?
You have the option of charging your electric vehicle in our underground garage. Reception will be happy to provide you with information and instructions on how to use it.

Is there childcare at the hotel?
We offer childcare in our children's and youth club (open at Christmas, New Year's Eve and then again from Easter 2025) between the Rugard Thermal Strandhotel and the Arkona Strandhotel. By the way: If you need an additional baby crib, please ask at our reception.

Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
Pets are welcome in our hotel. However, we ask for your understanding that pets are not allowed in our Ruiani restaurant, the fireplace room or in our wellness areas for reasons of hygiene. We ask you to keep your four-legged friends on a lead throughout the hotel. Please also note the dog regulations of the district of Rügen. The tourist tax for your dog will be charged at € 2 per dog per day.

Are there medical practices near the hotel?
If you would like to see a doctor during your vacation, we will be happy to help you. Please ask our staff at the reception desk. You can also ask here if you would like to know where the nearest pharmacy is located.

Is it possible to play golf nearby?
You have the choice between two golf courses on the island of Rügen. The 9-hole golf course at Schloss Ranzow is located near Lohme and is around 28 km from the Baltic seaside resort of Binz. The 18-hole golf course “Schloss Karnitz” near Putbus is around 26 km from the Baltic seaside resort of Binz. For more information, please contact reception.

Our hotel has a divisible function room with daylight. We would be happy to organize your anniversary, your meeting or your next conference. If you are interested, please contact our staff at reception.

Arrival by car
Coming from Berlin:
- 1. option
Via the A 24 and A 19 highways in the direction of Rostock, change to the A 20 at the Rostock junction and continue in the direction of Stralsund until the Stralsund exit. On the B 96, follow the signs to the island of Rügen. - 2. option
Take the A 11 towards Stettin as far as the Uckermark junction, then change to the A 20 towards Neubrandenburg/Stralsund and take exit 24 Stralsund. Follow the B 96 to Stralsund, then follow the signs to the island of Rügen.
Coming from Hamburg/Lübeck:
Take the A 20 highway in the direction of Rostock and continue to the Stralsund exit. Follow the B 96 in the direction of Stralsund and follow the signs to the island of Rügen.
Recommended arrival route Stralsund - Ostseebad Binz:
In Stralsund, the B 96 leads over the new Rügen Bridge onto the island. Follow the B 96 towards Bergen and after approx. 20 km take the B 196 (right before Bergen) towards Sellin/Göhren. After passing the village of Bergen, you will reach the Karow junction after 5 km (do not turn left here towards Binz, but continue straight on towards Ostseebad Göhren). In the village of Serams, turn left towards Binz. Follow the avenue road and pass the Granitz hunting lodge on your right. After crossing the railroad crossing, turn right into the street “Am Klünderberg”. Please drive over the hill and then turn right into Putbuser Str. After approx. 100 m you will see the Grand Hotel Binz on your right.

Take the long-distance Deutsche Bahn trains directly to Binz without changing trains from Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Frankfurt (M) and Munich.
There are good ICE and Intercity connections from all over Germany to Binz, often without changing trains.
On request, we will be happy to pick you up from Binz station free of charge and bring you back there punctually on departure.

What are the opening hours at Restaurant Ruiani?
Our restaurant in Binz offers a varied breakfast buffet daily from 7:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. For dinner we welcome you Sunday to Thursday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. On Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays, the Restaurant Ruiani is open from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.

Yes, external guests are also welcome at any time!

Is there a breakfast buffet?
A delicious, hearty breakfast is not only important for a good start to the day, but is also part of a successful vacation. We offer you a varied breakfast buffet in our Ruiani restaurant from 7:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.

Are there vegetarian, vegan and/or Ayurvedic dishes?
Our restaurant offers a good selection of vegetarian dishes at the breakfast buffet and you will always find at least one vegetarian dish on the evening menu. We can also prepare vegan dishes on request. We only offer Ayurvedic dishes in conjunction with Ayurvedic cures.

Due to the risk of slipping, we ask you to wear bathing shoes in the pool area.

Our pool has a water temperature of around 28 degrees Celsius.

Is the sauna area textile-free?
Yes, the sauna area is textile-free. There are several reasons why a sauna room must be entered without textiles. The most important point is probably hygiene. Swimwear is usually made of synthetic material, the fibers of which can emit harmful substances in the heat of the sauna. In addition, a lot of sweat collects in swimming trunks, bikinis and the like, which is washed away by the water when you go swimming in the leisure pool afterwards - an unpleasant thought for everyone involved.
In addition, the clothing prevents the sweat from evaporating from the skin and therefore prevents the body from cooling down. This not only prevents the desired effect of the sauna session, it is also unfavorable from a health point of view.

Is there a gym in the hotel?
In addition to our swimming pool, you can also work out in our in-house fitness room. This is equipped with high-quality PrecorUSA™ equipment and is located in the basement of our Binz hotel with pool between houses three and four. You can use your room until 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you wish, you can receive your hotel bill the evening before.

Yes, our hotel has rooms that are especially suitable for allergy sufferers. If you have any questions on this subject, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your contact person on site is our housekeeper.

Each room has a balcony or terrace. We kindly ask you to reduce the volume on the balcony or terrace from 10:00 p.m. to ensure the peace and quiet and enjoyment of all guests.

Each room is equipped with its own safe. There is also the option of using the central safe at reception. Please note, however, that we accept no liability for valuables stored in your room.

Is it possible to bring dogs?
Your four-legged friend is very welcome here. For reasons of hygiene, however, they are not permitted in the Ruiani restaurant, the fireplace room or the wellness areas.

Each room is equipped with two telephones that have an analog connection. To get an outside line, please dial “0”. If you wish to make a call from room to room, simply dial the desired room number.
